Code.org is teaming up with “The Bad Guys”
Students can code a scene or game using characters from the movie, in theaters April 22.
Code.org is excited to partner with Dreamworks Animation to offer a new project option featuring characters from the new movie, The Bad Guys — in theaters today. In the week since we launched this new activity, kids have been coding adventures with the characters like Ms. Tarantula, Mr. Wolf, Mr. Shark, and more. And they’re loving it!
Built on the functionality of Code.org’s Sprite Lab tool, the project possibilities are endless. To inspire students, we created some sample projects and students are making them better! One student took our Ms. Tarantula game example and made a more difficult version that is even harder to win:
We’ve also seen students reenact scenes from the movie:
Since The Bad Guys activity was released, more than 170,000 new projects have been created! If your students haven’t tried it yet, give it a go! Fun, popular characters are a great way to engage students and stimulate creativity. We hope students around the world continue making their own games, stories, and more, discovering just how exciting creating with code can be.
