Miami Art House joins Hour of Code for a special Spanish series
Julio Reyes Copello, Producer and Founder of Miami Art House, and top Latin artists like singer-songwriter Joy, will join for a 4-episode series of ‘Hora del Código En Vivo’, or Hour of Code Live.
What does recording music and coding an app have in common? Both processes rely on creativity and technology, and the end result can appeal to millions and connect all types of people from around the world.
That is why Miami Art House is the latest partner to join Code.org’s global Hour of Code campaign to inspire students around the world to learn computer science. The music label has welcomed many of the most important names in the industry, including Jennifer Lopez, Miguel, Will Smith, Nicky Jam, Pablo Alborán, amongst others.
Founded by Julio Reyes Copello, Miami Art House has become a global forum for ideas in music, technology, and business for English and Spanish-speakers alike.
Reyes Copello is a pioneer in the music industry. He has won 11 Grammys and received over 30 Grammy nominations for his work as a producer and composer. He was the first Colombian to conduct the London Symphony Orchestra, and he composed the music for MARS 2030, the first virtual reality simulation designed by NASA and Fusion.
As part of this partnership with Code.org, Reyes Copello will co-host a special 4-episode series of ‘Hora del Código En Vivo,’ focused on creativity, music, and coding. Each episode will welcome a renowned Spanish-speaking artist, introduce their music, and help explain the importance of equipping students with the skills to become creators of technology.
The first live episode will air April 15. Reyes Copello and Mexican singer-songwriter Joy, from the Grammy Award-winner pop duo Jesse & Joy, will present Code.org’s Dance Party tutorial to Latin American and Spanish-speaking students.
Dance Party makes it fun for students to learn as they code characters to dance to popular songs.
Join them to code your own Dance Party to the rhythm of Joy’s latest hit song, ‘Aire’. You can read more information about ‘Hora del Código En Vivo’ here and register for the event here.
Stay tuned over the next few months to see who will join us for more upcoming live sessions of Hora del Código En Vivo, and find out which three new songs we’re adding to Dance Party. We hope you can join us!
