I’m excited to announce the promotion of Cameron Wilson to the role of President of Code.org.
Cameron joined Code.org on June 1, 2013, when the organization was still a fledgling three-person nonprofit. Over the years, he has led or supervised many different parts of Code.org: government affairs, school outreach, international partnerships, finance, people ops, and more.
Today, we are expanding Cameron’s responsibilities to oversee all of Code.org’s teams as President of the organization. I’m so proud of Cameron’s accomplishments over almost two decades of service to the computer science education movement. Cameron is an understated leader who truly embodies the idea of leadership as an act of service.
I will continue my role as CEO, with a special focus on our external-facing efforts to grow the K-12 CS movement. Cameron has an incredibly capable executive team reporting to him, and I couldn’t be more proud of our ongoing efforts to achieve Code.org’s 2025 goals and to establish computer science as a foundational component of the “new normal” in education.
